Hi all,
I am trying to get an equation that allows me to get the next point on a curved line. Say we have a curved line and know the distance alone the line we want to travel. Is it then possible to establish the point that the line finishes on?
Cheers

Is it then possible to establish the point that the line finishes on?No. Not without more information.

Hey,
Ok say u track a moving point for three time intervals and you construct the equation of this curve. If we know the distance the moving point will travel in the next time step can we extrapolate along the path of the curve to get the point at the next time interval?
Does this make sense?

Does this make sense?Yes. But, I doubt if you will have enough information to find the next point for a complex curve. And, your initial quest was for "the point that the line finishes on?" as well as the "next point."
If you don't have the curve's equation, I suggest much research.
