i need to find the area and volume of a double helix(shape of DNA). i think that could be done with integration.pls help me.
thanks,bye.

First of all what do you MEAN by the "area". I presume that, by the "volume", you mean the volume of very long cylinder, with very small radius, curved into a helix. (Two of them of course- find the volume of one and multiply by 2.) But I'm not clear what you are thinking of as being the "area". What data do you have on the helix (length, radiuii, etc.)?

Sure...

Volume = entire_arc_length * pi * radius^2
Area = 2 *pi * radius * number_of_helices

You gave a vague question, so I gave an equally vague (Yet correct) response.
