A totaly NEW interpretation for Mercury's orbit precession!
Just within Classical Physics!
Please take a look at:Mercury's Precession (http://www.geocities.com/anewlightinphysics/new_evidence/Mercury_Precession.htm)

Since when is using a changing mass outside of relativity theory? Also, actual rocket theory is not in the realm of the relativistic, much as we might want to TAKE IT TO WARP DRIVE, SCOTTY!

I see your solar discussion. What is different between oblateness and density distribution?

Albers,
The Sun can be "oblate" but can have uniform or not uniform distribution of mass. A non uniform distribution means for example masses more concentrated in a "vertical" plane parallel to it axis of revolution as the case in the mentioned web page of the head post.
