View Full Version : Managing work-life balance.
I am a manager HR in a small organization, dealing with all employees personally. I found that many of my employees are finding it difficult to maintain work-life balance. Because of this they are already exhausted when they come to the workplace and are not productive. These work-life balance issues are hampering their productivity. I want to address this issue as soon as possible.

It might be hard for them to find balance if work is too demanded. It seems too much is demanded of the working class in society.
Nonetheless, I think time management can help. Additionally, they need to find out what they love to do with their free-time. It is easier to balance work with your life if you have focus in each one and do not waste your time.

It seems too much is demanded of the working class in society.I agree; particularly in the United States of America relative to the other industrialized nations. Which I'm sure is a large factor that accounts for much of the higher quality of life elsewhere.
Nonetheless, I think time management can help. Many things can help. The problem with "time management" is that in many instances, it is the problem.
Additionally, they need to find out what they love to do with their free-time. It is easier to balance work with your life if you have focus in each one and do not waste your time. You are quite correct. Many, and probably most, persons are incapable of using well their leisure time. This is evident when you examine how much activity is devoted to "mindless," "time-killing" enterprises.
Your forum is quite good.
Your articles are thought provoking.
I wonder if you are not "preaching to the choir"???
