I would like to know people's opinions about McAffee vs Norton when it comes to all aspects of Internet Security. I am thinking of switching to McAffee since my MSN premiums allow me to get it for free. Is it worth saving the $50.00 for Norton? What does everyone think?

I would like to know people's opinions about McAffee vs Norton when it comes to all aspects of Internet Security.I prefer McAfee; however, Norton's regestery scan is excellent. They will both do a good job. Make sure to invest in either one's premium product and set it for automatic upgrades.

Thanks, I switched from Norton to McAfee, and I like it. Pretty easy to navigate.
I don't like Norton, it always delete my system file as virus, and McAffee is a good thing to protect my computer, but when killing virus, it's not good.

However, with a bit of tweaking, this can be avoided. I suspect your system files are being taken out by a virus not Norton. Who knows . . . ?
For most users Norton Internet Security is just as effective; and, will be easier to control than Norton 360 (and less expensive.) Lesser versions are not recommended.
I don't believe any security program is perfect; particularly, concerning spam. I recommend running a second one occassionally; but, not concurrently, which will have your machine running slowly.
