Greetings,
I am about to begin my Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering and will focus the study on Math, Analysis and Chemistry. Its been years since I've formaly used some of my old math skills and I've recently been reading up on some combustion papers where there is much discusssion on zero-dimension, quasi-zero dimiension, and 1-Dimension frames and analysis. There is rarely any background or discussion on what the application or assumption of the zero and quasi-zero dimension analysis does, and its a bit difficult to try and back it out from the ensuing thermo equations. Can anyone provide me with a good general explanation (or source thereto) on the differences of a system, when viewed as a 0-, q0- or 1-dimension system?

Thanks.
