I am stuck at this homework question :(
Given that a and b are vectors, when is vector projection of a on b = vector projection of b on a?
As i work it out, I am left with vector a divided by length of a squared = vector b divided by length of b squared or:
a/|a|^2=b/|b|^2
Does this simply imply that vector projections equal if, and only if, a and be were the same vectors.
I really appreciate the help! Thanks!
