Hey Guys,

Having some problems answering this question and would appreciate some help. I'm rather lost and would really like help with the parts being explained.

Sketch the graph of y = (x^3) / (x^2 - 1)

I have to address each of the seven steps; Domain of function, Intercepts, Symmetry, Asymptotes, Sign of the gradient, Turning points and Concavity.

P.S I am new to this forum, thanks :)

THANKS!!!

Hi aviator

1)Domain of the equation is "Set of all real no. Except one"
2)Intercepts shows that Graph passing through the Origin.
3)Equation is symmetry along Y-axis.
4)Equation has 3 Asymptotes.
5)Equation of gradient is (x^2-1)-2x^4/(x^2-1)^2
6)Turning points & concavity is not much important in sketching the graph.

So according to my calculations the graph of this equation gives the parabola along y axis.
