Alfred Korzybski's (http://www.kcmetro.cc.mo.us/pennvalley/biology/lewis/akbio.htm) Science and Sanity: An Introduction to Non-Aristotelian Systems and General Semantics (http://www.kcmetro.cc.mo.us/pennvalley/biology/lewis/gs.htm), third edition, 1948, is a book that I consider to be required reading for everyone.

Parts can be difficult for many; however, even the non-technical high school student should "turn the pages"; if only to know that the book is there for reference later in life.

At the very least, a perusal of the book should aid in understanding why the anthropic skills of communication can be so difficult.

Does anyone know if this book is still read in academia; particularly, the primary disciplines?
